The Urban Native Collective (UNC) is a non profit org based in Cincinnati with roots dating to the 1970’s. The mission of the UNC is to preserve and represent the culture and heritage of Native American, Indigenous, and First Nations people, provide education, advocacy, and support on contemporary Indigenous issues, and cultivate knowledge about Native American history in local and regional communities.

In 2023, as they evolved from the the Greater Cincinnati Native American Coalition, the UNC partnered with Renegade Babe for assistance with their brand transformation.

Drawing inspiration from Indigenous American symbolism, Renegade Babe worked with Urban Native Collective to create a new identity featuring a clean sans serif retro based font, bold lines, and an earthy color palette that mimics nature. The new design connects Cincinnati’s Indigenous populations to engender a greater sense of community.
